You might want to check out my mother-in-law's quilts (a post from last October, click on the first picture). She keeps saying she's going to wind down the craft shows, then she goes anyway. :-)
I'm just another geek, skidding sideways into middle age. I was fascinated with the South as a kid... but it has definitely lost its luster after 25 years of actually *living* here.

Yes this happens all too often doesn't it.... I wrote something similar recently. There are some excellent haiku here.
